Order Information: Items ordered, seller details, pickup or delivery preferences, delivery address, order notes, invoices, receipts, and support history.

Device & Usage Data: Device type, browser, operating system, IP address, app version, crash logs, session activity, and general usage analytics.

Location Data: Approximate or precise location, when permitted by you, to show nearby sellers, improve address accuracy, support delivery, pickup, and order tracking.

Photos, Camera & Media: Images or files you choose to upload, such as product photos, shopping lists, order references, delivery proof, support screenshots, or seller-related images.

Cookies & Similar Technologies: We may use cookies and similar technologies to manage sessions, remember preferences, improve performance, and understand platform usage.

4. Use of Location Data

Sabu may request location access to show nearby sellers, confirm delivery addresses, support pickup and delivery workflows, and provide better local marketplace results.

Location access is used only when necessary for marketplace, delivery, pickup, safety, or operational features. We do not sell your location data to advertisers.

Location is collected only after permission is granted by the user
Users can disable location permission from device settings
Location may be shared with sellers or delivery partners only when required to fulfil an order
Background location, if used, is limited to active delivery or pickup workflows and is not used for advertising or profiling

5. Use of Camera, Photos & Media Permissions

Sabu may request camera, photo, or media access to allow users, sellers, or delivery partners to upload images or documents related to orders and marketplace activity.

Examples include uploading a shopping list, product image, order requirement, support screenshot, delivery proof, seller catalog image, or receipt.

We access only files or images selected by the user
We do not scan your full photo library or unrelated files
Uploaded files are used only for the purpose for which they were provided
Users can deny or revoke these permissions from device settings

6. Use of SMS / OTP

Sabu may use OTP-based verification during signup, login, or important account actions.

If SMS permission is requested, it is used only to detect or autofill OTP messages for login or verification convenience. We do not read personal SMS messages.

7. Google Sign-In

If you choose to sign in using Google, we may receive basic profile information from Google, such as your name, email address, profile picture, and Google account identifier.

This information is used only to create or access your Sabu account, authenticate you, prevent fraud, and provide platform services. We do not receive your Google password.

You can manage or revoke Google account access from your Google Account settings.

8. Sharing of Information

We may share limited information only when required to operate the Sabu platform:

With sellers to process and fulfil your order
With delivery or pickup partners to complete delivery or pickup
With payment gateways to process payments, refunds, and fraud checks
With technology service providers who help us operate the platform

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

9. Payments

Payments may be processed through third-party payment gateways. Sabu may receive payment status, transaction reference, refund status, and related order information.

We do not store full card numbers, banking passwords, UPI PINs, or other sensitive payment credentials on our own systems.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide services, maintain records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements.

Users may request deletion of their personal information, subject to legal, tax, security, fraud-prevention, and operational retention requirements.
